The Day Separator and Sessions Tool helps traders keep track of market timing by clearly marking each trading day and highlighting the Asia, London, and New York sessions. This makes it easier to see when liquidity shifts, when volatility increases, and how price behaves in different parts of the day.
The indicator also plots the True Day Open and True Week Open, giving traders an accurate reference point for directional bias. Seeing where price sits relative to these opens helps you quickly understand whether the market is trading above or below the most important benchmarks of the day or week.
Together, these tools create a clean structure on your chart that improves timing, clarity, and decision-making. Traders can easily read session behavior, track intraday transitions, and build a stronger understanding of daily and weekly direction with just a glance.
Day Separator Settings
Time - Specify when day labels should appear on each day (24-hour format). The label will appear at this exact time on each trading day.
Maximum Weeks - Controls how many weeks back the indicator displays. Ranges from 1, being the current week, to 4 weeks.
Day Length - Choose between Short (MON, TUE, WED, etc) or Full (MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, etc) day names.
Label Position - Choose whether day labels appear at the Top or Bottom of the chart.
Highlight Weekdays - Toggle to show/hide background coloring for weekdays. When enabled, weekdays receive alternating transparency levels to create visual separation between days.
Weekday Color - Set the background color for weekdays. Transparency levels automatically applied.
Highlight Weekends - Toggle to show/hide background coloring for weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Weekend Color - Set the background color for weekends.
Show Labels - Toggle to show/hide day name labels on chart. When enabled, day labels appear at your specified time each day (as per user input).
Label Color - Sets the text color for day labels
Market Session Settings
Timezone - Select preferred timezone. The indicator will automatically adjust all session times to match the selected timezone.
Session Customization (for each session)
Location of Label - Choose whether session labels appear at the Top or Bottom of the session box
Maximum Sessions to Display - Control how many historical sessions remain visible on the chart.
Show Labels - Toggle to show/hide session name labels
Show Border - Toggle to show/hide colored borders around session boxes
Show Fill - Toggle to show/hide fill in the session boxes
True Week Open (TWO) Settings
Display Week Open - Show/hide the True Week Open.
Display Text - Set the label text for the Week Open line.
Day of Open - Select which day marks the Week Open.
Time of Open - Set the time at which Week Open occurs.
Line Style - Choose line appearance.
Line Width - Set line thickness.
Line Color - Set the color.
